Why Movies Fail?

Recently I watched the first ever international movie of malayalam(as announced by the crew) Akashagopuram. Its about a builder who was building churches, then changed himself to construct houses for human. The story is perfect one. Still the movie failed to attract me. It got talented actors, might be one of the best in the Malayalam film industry. Still according to me the actors directors everyone failed to give justice to the story line. 

When a writer  makes a story he would be able to make the reader understand the true feelings of one character by using lot of words. But when it is made into a movie, the actors/ actresses will be having hard time in understanding the character as well as making sure that they give justice to how the writer portrayed the character. 

This is really a tough ask. The directors, actors of Akashagopuram failed to understand or failed to reach the level the writer wants the character to be. It might be because of lack of understanding or it can be because of commercialization aspect of the movie. The director failed to cast right actors for the movie. The doctor played by sreenivasan is the best example.

Frida--- Fight of woman..

Frida is a movie which I call a fight of a woman against her own fate. Acted by Salma Hayek the role of Frida demands a lot, and ofcourse she has met the expectation too.  Frida is different from all, not ever bothered to talk or do whatever she want. She is grown as a man.  Attracted to art and music. She was ready to sacrifice to acheive what she required. She loved her husband Diego, even if he flirted with lot of woman. But she got broke when she came to know about his relationship with her own sister. For him sex is just like a hand shake. She never stopped her lesbian relationships after she got married also. Might be the knowledge about her husbands nature would have made her to continue those. She broke with her husband after being found the relationship with her sister. Then she started the journey for being a good artist. She got to sacrifice a lot to be named as a good artist. She made Diego realize the importance of husband wife relationship, when Diego realized that she had sex with his friend. It was hard for him accept. Life turned out to be difficult for Frida later on. The impact of accident she met during her childhood started affecting her. With a weak back bone, she was forced to stay in the bed most of time. She still done her paintings and even conducted a exhibition of it. 

Life of Frida can be motivating for lot of people. There are lot of unanswered questions in her story. But sure it motivates people.

Little Children

Little Children is a movie about confused minds and shows about the childish traits in each and every human being. It discusses about how serious is one about their life in various circumstances. Also the influence of various happenings in the life. There are plenty of characters in the movie. An unhappy husband(brad played by patrick Wilson, who is not happy about the way in which life goes, who feels he does`nt get what he really wanted in life or could`n still identify what his inner self really wants. An ex policeman (Richard played by Greg Edelman) who still carries memories of a bad instanthappened in his life, which terribly influence him in the way he watches people, which makes him to respond in a bad way to whatever happens around, changes his expectation levels. A mother(May played by Phyllis Somerville) of a sex offender(played by Jackie Earle Halley) who takes care of his son, still cares for him a lot, pamper him even if he is old enough to lead a life alone. This makes the son a un matured self. An executive who is bored of his work, who deviates from his own persona, without his knowledge. A mother(sarah played by Kate Winslet) of a beautiful girl who is bored of life baby sitting, who lacks support from her husband in every aspect. Moreover it happens because of lack of conversation between people.
They movie conveys lot of things to be. How bad confusion can lead one to be?. What can result if we are carrying our old memories in our present life? What can result in lot of Pampering and caring? What will result ones life if there is not much of communication?

My rating for the movie is 4, for the excellent portrayal of human feelings and clarity on what the director want to convery, obviously for the performance of all the actors.
